Entry is easy. All we need is:
• Up to 500 words on why you are a contender for your chosen category
• Any relevant supporting evidence.

BEST DENTAL LABORATORY
• Communication – good external communication with dentists and internal communication within the dental laboratory is essential. What makes your laboratory so successful in its communication?
• Demonstrate how you maintain consistent high standards of work throughout the laboratory
• Include marketing information
• Give evidence of investment and development in your lab and your team
• Include testimonials
• Why are you proud of your workplace?
• Financial progress. Let us know (in percent terms) of your recent and projected growth.

BEST TEAM

• Communication – good external communication with dentists and internal communication within the dental laboratory is essential. What makes your laboratory so successful in its communication?
• Describe why you are proud of your work and provide testimonials
• Supporting documentation and pictures
• Show how you have used calibre materials and technology to maximise your work quality
• Show evidence of training to maximise quality
• Show evidence of customer satisfaction
• Show evidence of how you solve difficult cases.

BEST CROWN AND BRIDGE CASE
This category requires submission of a case and
supporting notes.
• The entrant’s case will show maximum effort made to achieve the desired changes as conservatively as possible
• The case will involve a prosthesis or prostheses, using any material and a reason why

The winner of this award will:
• Provide treatment photographs where possible
• Provide photography of the finished prosthesis
or prostheses
• Submit photographs of stages of laboratory
work if appropriate
• Provide any other supporting evidence.

BEST DENTURE CASE
This category requires submission of a clinical case and supporting notes.
• The majority of the treatment employed denture teeth in either a partial denture or full dentures either or both the maxilla and mandible
• Entrants should demonstrate how they have kept invasiveness to a minimum
• Fit, patient acceptance and occlusion are key here
• Provide before and after treatment photographs
• Provide any other supporting evidence.

BEST ORTHODONTIC CASE
This category requires submission of a clinical case and supporting notes.
• Minor orthodontic pre-alignment or major corrections and or multi-disciplinary.
• Entrants should demonstrate how they have kept invasiveness to a minimum
• Provide a case report discussing the patient’s presentation, diagnosis, treatment planning and treatment execution, specifically including a discussion of how the case was treated as effectively as possible
• Provide before and after treatment photographs
• Provide any other supporting evidence

BEST DIGITALLY MILLED CASE
This category requires submission of a case and supporting notes.
• The entrant’s case will show maximum effort made to achieve the desired changes as conservatively as possible
• The case will involve a prosthesis, using any material and a reason why

The winner of this award will:
• Provide treatment photographs where possible
• Provide photography of the finished prosthesis
• Submit photographs of stages of laboratory work if appropriate
• Provide any other supporting evidence.

BEST LABORATORY WEBSITE
• Show excellent content
• Show excellent structure and navigation
• Show better visual design
• Show excellent functionality
• Show the website’s interactivity
• Explain the overall experience
• Provide feedback from users of the site describing what makes the site so good.

BEST DIGITAL LABORATORY
• Describe how you have incorporated high tech equipment into your lab
• How does this make you more efficient?
• Show the impact and benefit of digitalisation
• How does this help you stay ahead of competition?
• Include supporting evidence, pictures and testimonials.

BEST CLINICAL DENTAL TECHNICIAN
You can enter this category yourself or nominate someone.

• Demonstrate hard work and drive
• Anything outstanding you/they have been involved with
• Show how you/they have gone beyond the regular duty of care
• Give two or more examples of work (before and after pictures)
• Provide relevant testimonials
• List out relevant training that you/they have undertaken to become the best of the best
• Provide any other supporting evidence

BEST DENTAL TECHNICIAN
You can enter this category yourself, or nominate someone you know.
• Demonstrate hard work and drive, or anything outstanding you/they have been involved with
• Show how you/they have gone beyond the regular duty of care
• Describe your/their professional achievements
• Give at least two examples of clinical work (before and after pictures)
• Show the positive impact you/they have on your team and colleagues
• Provide any relevant testimonials
• List out relevant training that you/they have under taken to become the best of the best
• What is your proudest achievement?

APPRENTICE OF THE YEAR
You can enter this category yourself or nominate someone.
• Demonstrate hard work and drive
• Anything outstanding you/they have been involved with
• Show how you/they have gone beyond the regular duty of care
• Give examples of work (before and after pictures)
• Provide relevant testimonials
• List out relevant training that you/they have undertaken to become the best of the starters

BEST USE OF IPS E.MAX
• Pick one case to submit using IPS E.max
• Initial clinical situation, ie the patient’s problem (before image)
• The complexity of the case, ie challenging areas, which teeth were worked on, how did you get to the chosen restoration?
• Why IPS E.max was chosen
• What process was used, Ceram, press, digital etc?
• Importance of communication between dentist and dental technician
• Working steps in the laboratory (images for mock-up, impression/model, provisional restoration)
• Clinical result (after image)
• Option to submit with your dentist.
